Walk into the studio on any given afternoon, and a bright voice from the back will shout. Maureen will step out of her office to greet you and insist she pour you a drink of your choice. Working behind the scenes, first as the firm’s bookkeeper, then quickly gaining the title of Studio Manager, she flows between keeping operations tight and encouraging the team to dive deeper into their creativity. Though expertly skilled in business, she has the same respect for beauty that all of Rae Design Group boasts. If you ever catch the team in hot pink slippers, you’ll know who bought them.
It is evident how the team recognizes Maureen as a voice of reason, mixing words of wisdom with their light hearted laughter, and yet her words echo through the studio “Brittany, the day you stop dreaming, is the day I quit”.
Studio Manager/ Bookkeeper
She is a storyteller, and an intent listener; and while her design work thrives from this, Brittany’s warmth in making others feel known emanates through her whole life.
Brittany continues to educate herself in the precise science of artistic expression. The ones who get to work everyday with "B.Rae" note her brilliance and the gentle way she displays it; focused on excellence without intimidation.
Building Rae Design Group from the ground up, Brittany has never departed from what comes naturally to her; an eye for beauty with an ear for the backstory.
Combining her joy for creating personalized spaces with years of studying multiple aspects of design led Brittany to establish RDG. Graduating with a degree in design from NYSID in Manhattan and working for AD100 firms, she began to follow opportunities she believes she was blessed with, giving her the invaluable experience of business, architecture, and cabinetry.
A champion of people, and devoted mother, every part of Brittany reaches out to people first. She is inseparable from her commitment to seeing people, homes, furniture, and art for all that they are, where they’ve come from, and what they could be.
After accumulating years of accounting work in rigorous NYC firms and abroad, Maureen transitioned into using both sides of her brain. Following a devastating house fire, with both grit and grace, Maureen managed renovations of her own immersing herself in the industry, making her a perfect fit for Rae Design Group.
Founded in 2005, Brittany Lanzone blended her experience in speciality building practices and her heart for the home; providing the clientele of Rae Design Group the intentional interior design for their family. Built on the intention of fully embodying each detail in order to capture the cohesive finished home, the firm prides itself on a whole process approach. `
